Welcome back, Jake Cadwell

Jake Cadwell has returned to SLV Rural Electric Cooperative, bringing with him previous experience and a familiar face to the line crew. Jake originally spent nine years with SLVREC before working elsewhere for six years. 

He said the opportunity to return was an easy decision because of the people, the community and the coop’s family-oriented culture. Jake also joked that he thought the housing prices in the Valley were a little more affordable!

As a member of the line crew, Jake’s primary responsibilities include building, maintaining and repairing the cooperative’s electric distribution system. While the work can be challenging, he enjoys the opportunity to serve the community and work alongside a team that feels like family.

Originally from Gunnison, Jake enjoys spending his free time hunting, fishing and taking advantage of everything the outdoors has to offer.
