NOTICE OF JOB OPENING FOR ACCOUNTANT
The San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative has an opening for a full time Accountant. Duties: prepares and maintains accurate financial records for monthly reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, reconcile bank statements, maintains assigned journals, prepares monthly and annual Department of Energy and Colorado sales tax reports, general invoicing for accounts receivable, reconcile subsidiary accounts and processing rebates. Starts at $34.86 - $46.81/hr with a competitive benefit package. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required and four years of accounting experience preferred. NOTICE OF JOB OPENING FOR STAKING ENGINEER
San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. currently has an open position for a Staking Engineer. Work hours are Monday – Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., forty hours/week plus additional time as duties require. Responsible for designing lines and services according to standard construction methods, preparing construction cost estimates, interpreting maps, plat maps, surveys and electrical drawings, produce staking sheets and materials list for fiber and electric work orders, procuring easements and permits, and ability to interact with the public daily. High school diploma is required along with an associate’s degree in a technical field and/or journeyman line certification. Additional testing will be required.
