Employees lend a hand at Monte Vista ballfields

As part of San Luis Valley REC’s service group program, a team of employees recently put their skills and equipment to work helping with improvements at the new Monte Vista ballfields.

The program encourages employees to build teamwork and leadership skills through community service projects that benefit the Valley communities. SLVREC donated labor and equipment to set poles that will support lighting at the new ballfields.

The project was another opportunity for employees to work together, give back to their community and make a lasting contribution beyond their everyday responsibilities.
